Founders and best friends Adam Bossie and Paul Merces’ passion for coffee extends far beyond a cup in good company. For years they’d been on a quest to find a quality of bean that would not only raise the bar for the country’s daily cup - but also gain the approval of the culinary industry’s most discerning palates. Traveling and dining adventures revealed some noteworthy flavors, but when that unique blend of beans just couldn’t be found anywhere else - they decided to create it themselves.
And, Coffee Afficionado was born.
Thanks to Adam’s culinary insight and business sense - and Paul’s affinity for coffee and the more acute technicalities of the roasting process - Coffee Afficionado is able to take a well-rounded approach to teamwork and a diligent position on quality control. Of course, once you have the chance to meet the ‘original’ afficionados - the brand mentality is clear: just because you’re serious about the taste of your coffee - doesn’t mean you have to take life too seriously.
